Darren Olivier manages brand portfolios
for all clients from startups to large
multinational companies. He advises on all
issues relating to brands, including strategic
brand management, brand licensing and
acquisitions as well as enforcement matters,
such as counterfeit goods strategies,
litigation and oppositions . Prior to joining
Bowman Gilfillan, Darren was a partner at
a leading London City firm and spent
several years as Head of Intellectual
Property to Dunlop Slazenger Group
Limited.
Darren is on the official panel of experts
to World Trademark Law Report and wrote
the Chapter on UK Trademark law in the
World Trademark Law Report Yearbook
2006 and 2007. He is chairman of the Brands
Committee and director of the Licensing
Executives Society (UK and Ireland). He is
a dual qualified solicitor/attorney (UK and
South Africa), and a qualified trade mark
practitioner. He is a frequent speaker and
writer on legal brand issues. He is cofounder
of AFRO-IP, a social networking
site and blog aimed at developing and
promoting IP interests in Africa.

Natalia is a director in the Intellectual
Property Department and is the director
in charge of Marketing. She specialises in
the searching, filing, prosecution,
registration, maintenance, licensing and
assignment of trade mark rights in all
countries outside Southern Africa. Natalia
represents major international clients and
is closely involved in providing advice
and management for international clients
relating to their Africa trade mark strategy
and for local clients relating to their world
wide trade mark portfolios and strategy.
She represents major international clients
and local clients. She has gained extensive
knowledge and practical experience with
the various trade mark prosecution
systems throughout Africa and worldwide.
Natalia has a particular interest in the
promotion of intellectual property
protection within Africa and is involved
with the firm's Africa Group in relation
to intellectual property matters. She also
has an interest in the field of trade mark
prosecution in relation to online gaming
and is involved with the promotion of IP
awareness in the local fashion industry.
